Mr C's Birthday Ride

Great Ride on Friday at Coed Y Brenin (or something like) MBR was a baptism of Fire, 10 meters of flat single track under the worlds biggest folks, then hold on for dear life over the rocks. Really pleased I got around in one piece, also thanks for the warnings on the drops.

Wasn't as keen on the Old Red bull course, apart from the two sections of single track downhill, didn't think it compared favorably to the MBR trail.

Glad there was no injuries but two punctures and two broken spokes on your full susp. Well pleased the Rockhopper does everything it says on the tin.

Great food as well.

Will need to sort out Scotland soon, I will however be buying some body protection from the show next month just in case I meet a camel on a rocky section.

Enjoyed the riding. Had a look at the map when I got back. You can cut out the ridiculous fireroad and fireroad descent. Would make the ride better, allthough I dont think it compares to the beast, which uses alot of the mbr.

There was only one broken spoke on the day. Was weird though how we both pinch flatted front wheels. That is a very rare thing.

Yeah, we have been having a think about Scotland. I will chat to the croxton this week. Dont go crazy on body armour. I would get shin/knee and poss elbow/forearm but you dont need full body armour. Too hot for trail riding.

Yeh in Scotland I'll probably just be using my full face helmet and knee/shin guards. I don't like riding in much armour as I like the freedom without it!

I had a great ride (unfortunately I am back at work now - booo).

Redbull would be good to do again without the fireroad up and down.

The second spoke break was mine by the way..... Wheel is slowley disintigrating I think.

Got a few bike things for b-day, including bash ring 3rd ring (thanks N) and Giro remedy from M+D Croxton :) Uplift day at Innerleithen anyone!?!???

Nice one buddy. Well done.

I will be loving my discount - can you get tickets to that Martin Ashton thing then???

What days are you working etc...

We need to ride next week late/pm evening sometime - Llandegla or street? You decide.

My remedy is mint - blue one.

When did you break ur spoke neil? Yeh the Martyn Ashton thing would be a bit cool.
So is a new wheel on the agenda then?
I do recommend mine but think they are quite expensive. Then again so is
ur bike... Only the best will do for enduros!
Just put my mini on the Brooklyn, much better with two brakes lol. Needs some fluid in but apart from that bike is mint.
Am well up for some street but will ride anywhere.
